3/5/10 On the eve of March, 8th Victor Kress has spent governor's reception of women-teachers
The governor has noticed that he waited for a long time such a possibility to have a before-holiday conversation with teachers. In his opinion, the modernization in general education system has ripened, and in Tomsk region the work has already begun on Strategy of innovative development of high school and amendments in the regional law «About education» which will stimulate innovative activity in school.

3/4/10 The Tomsk region becomes a pilot region on realisation of hi-tech projects in power industry
In the end of February in Tomsk has passed a subgroup session on power efficiency of the Russian-German Working group on strategic cooperation (SRG) on which problems of the complex approach to the power savings and power efficiency increase were discussed.

The governor has sounded statistical results of the social and economic development of the region in January of the current year. The industrial production index has made 99,8 % by January, 2009. The mining operations have grown by 105 percent. Have sharply grown - by 155 % - volumes of woodworking. Manufacture and distribution of the electric power, gas and water has made 119,6 %, chemical manufacture – 115,5 %, agricultural production – 104,5 %. Input of apartment houses in January has made 24 109 sq.m. (103,6 % by January of last year).

The general director of state corporation "Rosnano" Anatoly Chubays in "RIA Novosti news agency" interview has declared that Tomsk oblast and Tatarstan are leaders of "innovative running" among lined up in «a starting ruler» 15-20 Russian regions which «have realised problem scale, form the priorities and start to move ahead actively in this sense».
